Come celebrate Buffy's 1 year Birthday Saturday June 28th at Terra Cotta Inn

My birthday was in May. Mary Clare got me a present of a doggie DNA test for Buffy our new pound puppy. (We named her Buffy because she's in the Buff). We found out that she is mainly Black Labrador (no surprise). She's also German Shepherd (her ears can stand up like a Shepherd's, Chow Chow (she has a spotted tongue), and finally Bulldog (she has a cute under bite, and she is shorter and stockier than a Lab/Shepherd). She has a wonderful friendly Labrador personality.

Buffy turns 1 year old this weekend. We'll have cake, ice cream, and lots of treats to celebrate this Saturday June 28th. The weather is supposed to be fantastic. Nice and sunny.

Airfare Watchdog on June 29th, which is the best travel website for learning about airfare sales (we link to it here) just picked Palm Springs as one of the top 12 summer vacation destinations in the US. What are you waiting for?

One of the many reasons we're so popular in the summer is we have invested in a state of the art poolside misting/cooling system. We have the best one in town. We are always upgrading it as the technology keeps improving. We just did a major upgrade this March. Our guests are very comfortable and happy here because of that system. Our resort doesn't get unbearably hot like most places in town that have not invested in top of the line poolside cooling systems.

We also have powerful commercial grade room air conditioners. Our rooms stay nice and cool. Many places have cheap, underpowered household grade air conditioners, so the rooms never quite cool off. So ask about AC before booking somewhere else.

We have 1 large pool. It's big for our size resort and doesn't overheat. Nothing is worse than going to some place that has a small pool or multiple small pools that get too hot to use in the summer.

We're busy in the summer. We know many places in town struggle and hope for Saturday night overflow from the big resorts. We however, get the nude vacationers from around the world, so when you stay here, you meet really nice people everyday of the week.

Palm Springs is a desert. We are the sunniest city in the US. We average less than 3 inches of rain a year and it is extremely rare that it would ever be cloudy here in the summer. You never have to worry about tropical storms or hurricanes in Palm Springs.

No mosquitoes in Palm Springs. Since we don't get rain, we don't have mosquitoes, it's wonderful not having to put smelly chemical bug repellants on yourself.

Finally, we're a great bargain. In July and August, we start our annual summertime room sale. On Mon-Thurs, stay 1 night, the 2nd is 50% off. That means midweek room rates are as low as $111.75/night plus tax with your 2 night stay. And that is for a very spacious room, not some tiny room. Our regular deluxe rooms are larger an nicer than many "kitchen suites" in town. And if you stay a week, our rates are as low as $859/couple/week. This includes complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks everyday of the week. And our free breakfast is great. Bottomless Starbucks blend coffee. We don't fool you and give you just a cup of coffee and pastry, call it breakfast and want to charge you for your 2nd cup of coffee.

You can also check in as early as 10am and stay until 5pm when you check out. We don't charge extra for this service. No hidden resort or grounds fees here.

And our lunches are super affordable. For instance you can get a quarter pound cheeseburger, fries, and soda for only $6.49 including tax and tip. No other hotels in ALL Palm Springs can beat that price.

These are just some of the many reasons why the Los Angeles Times newspaper wrote a 2/3 feature Sunday travel article about us calling us the "common sense" place to stay in Palm Springs. And a stay at Terra cotta Inn means "more cents" in your vacation wallet when you leave.

This Saturday, July 19th, Terra Cotta Inn, Palm Springs, CA's popular nude hotel and spa is having a fun, naked ice cream party. Lots of delicious flavors and adult toppings. Be a kid again and come join us for this fun event.

And the Los Angles Times newspaper did a 2/3 page feature travel article about us recommending all their readers to stay here as we are the "common sense" place to stay in Palm Springs. And our own Local Newspaper, the Desert Sun picked #terracottainn as the Best small resort in the #PalmSprings valley. Pretty cool.

Palm Springs, CA is the sunniest city in the US. We have repeat guests from around the world stay with us although most guests are from all over the US, Canada, England, Australia, and Mexico. First timers are always welcome to stay here.

We're the ONLY nudist vacation resort in the western US that is popular 7 days a week instead of just weekends. As an example, today Wednesday July 16th, we only have 1 room available. So you can come here any day of the week and have a fun time relaxing time and socialize with great, interesting people. We're one of the most popular of all Palm Springs hotels. And of course if you're are looking for a nude place midweek where no one else is around, we're always happy to recommend other places.

When we're full, repeat guests and experienced nudists if they are unable to change their vacation dates, usually check into other hotels in town like a Marriott or Hilton, etc. and then come to our resort each day for day use.

We also have many guests who book time shares in town or who drive down with an RV, stay at a textile RV park and come here for day use. And we also have many Southern Californians who are just escaping for a day of sun, fun, and relaxation. Many local Palm Springs residents come here for day use as a #staycation. Southern California's Public Radio station KPCC picked Palm Springs as one of the 7 BEST places for Southern Californian's to #getaway to this summer.

Day use is from 10am until 5pm. We have day use available 7 days a week.

It is only $30/couple on Monday thru Thursday and $40/couple on weekends. We even serve complimentary snacks at 4pm for all guests including day use guests.

We even provide you with big, fluffy pool towels so you don't have to go back with wet towels.

As all nudists say, we're the only nudist resort they like to use their vacation days off of work to stay at. We have free wifi so you are more than welcome to bring your laptops, tablets, and smart phones to do work while you're here relaxing.

We normally book only 5 couples/day for day use as we do not want to overcrowd our resort. So you do need to call in advance to make reservations at 800-786-6938.

We have a soda machine where soda is only $.50/can. You are also welcome to bring your own beverages. Coolers are welcome.

We use a local restaurant that serves delicious lunches such as pizza, pasta, burgers, subs, salads, and lots of sides like fries, chicken wings, onion rings, etc. We take orders poolside around 11am and deliver your lunch poolside everyday around 1pm. You can also bring your own lunch, beverages, and snacks. Lunch is a great value.

You are also more than welcome to book one of our many fantastic massages. Palm Springs Life Magazine gave us a Best of the Best award for being the Best Day Spa in the whole Palm Springs area. Usually, here at Terra Cotta Inn, Palm Springs, we have weekend minimum night stay requirements as we're the place nudists love to vacation at. As an example, tonight a Wednesday night we are sold out.

Saturdays are normally cheaper to fly on. We have 5 couples flying home Saturday, so we have openings for 5 couples to stay just Saturday night (or longer if you like). Rarely do we just have Saturday stays available, especially in the summer. Plus we have a free naked ice cream party Saturday. A Good Honest Review from a Guest describing Terra Cotta Inn and our Vibe

Here is a guest review. The press has written we're the most mainstream nudist resort in the US and it's nice when guests confirm this. For instance, we're pretty unique in that guests are from their 20's to 80's just like regular textile hotels.

Our guests come here to be nude. They don't wear clothes like at so many other nude places.

Our guests are what is our biggest strength. They're so nice and friendly and this post confirms it.

We're very reasonably priced especailly compared to the overpriced places in mexico and the Caribbean many of which aren't even owned by nudists.

The guest wrote 4 posts about their experience. We highlighted them, but included links so you can read the whole post.

"...TCI is well suited for socializing as everyone is on the pool deck and if they are outside the room, you are basically hanging out with all the guests..."

...At TCI it was different. We stayed nude 100% of the time unless we were going outside the resort. Tom and Mary Clare really make a difference in our opinion. As the owners and as nudists themselves, they created an environment where clothes are optional everywhere and we felt more comfortable going into the lobby clothes free. For us TCI was more social and we met several couples and exchanged contact information as we will look forward to seeing them on a future nakation. We will definitely go back to TCI since we loved our time there..."

"...The room is quite large compared to other hotels with similar amenities..."

...We spent little time in the room anyway since we are here to enjoy nude sunbathing and skinny dipping. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool. Ample towels were supplied. Half of the pool area is under a misting system. The pool is a salt water heated pool which was wonderful. The resort also has plenty of floats for guests to use. The hot tub is salt water as well and a wonderful place to hang out in the beautiful Palm Springs nights. At Terra Cotta the main attraction is the pool where most guests can be found. Nudists are very friendly people and we made many friends during our stay. Ages ranged from guessing mid 20’s and up. One couple there was celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary, they were adorable...

The owners Tom and Mary Clare are active owners and on site everyday. They are very friendly and lovely people. They are hard working owners and it shows as they have created a fantastic product. Terra Cotta is a fantastic location to enjoy a nude vacation. We cant wait to go back..."

We considered 3 locations for our 2014 nakation. In the running was Hidden Beach resort in Mexico, Club Orient in St Martin and Palm Springs. We ultimately decided against Hidden Beach due to cost. It is the most expensive option we considered, but is does look and sound fabulous. It came down to St. Martin vs Palm Springs. Even though getting to Palm Springs for us would involve more travel then St. Martin, Palm Springs came in as the cheaper option and we were looking keep the cost down this year. In addition to cost Club Orient did not have a pool. We do love the beach but lately we prefer the pool/resort over the beach/resort.

...The nights in Palm Springs are fantastic. Nights were warm, breezy and no mosquitoes. Its so dry that mosquitoes cannot breed, something we have never experienced, it was wonderful. Every day was sunny and hot...

...It was a great nakation. Would recommend anyone interested in Palm Springs to go as you will have perfect weather to enjoy in the nude."

Go #topless and relax. Tuesday, August 26th is the 43rd anniversary of Women’s Equality Day. This started in 1971 and is in honor of American women gaining the right to vote with the 19th Amendment on August 26th, 1920. Coincidentally, Go #Topless Day which celebrates Women's Equality is on the closest Sunday to the 26th. This year it is the 7th anniversary of Go Topless Day on Sunday August 24th.

Americans forget that up until the mid 1930's, men had to wear wool shirts at the beach. Back in those days, men could not go topless on the beach without being arrested. It was considered indecent and that society had a "duty" to protect women and children from the sight of a man's bare chest and nipples.

Men began their act of civil disobedience by going shirtless on the East coast beaches in the summer of 1934. Documenting this, an article headline a year later on page 3 of the New York Times claimed: 42 Shirtless Bathers Fined - Aug 10, 1935. And even later: Atlantic City Keeps Ban On Shirtless Bathing Suits (May 20, 1937). It took many brave men, many summers of protesting shirtless to get laws and attitudes changed.

Fast forward to 2014, and many people, now believe it's women’s time to win that same right to go shirtless! Lots of women now feel they should be able to be shirtless anywhere a man can be.

Friday to Sunday November 21st to 23rd - Come to our "We wish we could be at Terra Cotta Inn for Thanksgiving, but have to see family so we're coming the weekend before celebration." Mary Clare is an excellent cook. She used to write cookbooks before it was trendy to do so. She's the ORIGINAL naked chef. That Saturday for our afternoon snack time, we serve all sorts of decadent Thanksgiving deserts and of course Mary Clare's famous Thanksgiving Day stuffing. Yummy!!! You won't want to miss this if you can't be here for Thanksgiving.

Thursday November 27th - Thanksgiving Day. Come for our free, delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Best of all, you don't have to worry about needing to unbuckle your belt after dinner.

Sunday November 23rd to Sunday November 30th. Thanksgiving week. With so many guests able to take extra time off of work during Thanksgiving week, take a week long vacation with us. On Black Friday November 28th, go to the discount mall just 20 minutes from TCI and get your Christmas shopping done. Weather is usually the best nude sunbathing weather in the US at that time of year. Typically low 80's F for highs and 100% sunny.

December 1st to 24th - Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Terra Cotta Inn. On December 19th, 1994, Mary Clare and I official closed on our hotel. Which we named The Terra Cotta Inn. We hoped we would be successful, but never realized we would constantly be named one of the 10 Best nude sunbathing resorts in the world and the best resort for first timers in the US.
Since we started in 1994, we got the great idea, why not charge only $94.00 per night for all rooms in December to celebrate our 20th anniversary. So from December 1st until the 24th, all rooms are just $94.00. Because this is the best rate we have ever charged, it can not be combined with any other special offers. And as always, we allow free early check in and late out, we serve free breakfast and afternoon snacks and still have no hidden resort fees. So join our 20th Anniversary celebration this December.

Saturday December 13th - Terra Cotta Inn's annual Christmas Holiday Dinner and party. Mary Clare makes a great, free Christmas dinner feast for all the guests. And then Santa Tom gives out goodies to all the guests. Don't miss our Christmas party, otherwise you might get a lump of coal in your stocking Christmas day, Ho Ho Ho.

Thursday December 25th - Christmas Day. Mary Clare makes homemade Christmas cookies for all the guests. There's no better place to spend Christmas than at Terra Cotta Inn. Come relax after all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

December 25th to January 3rd - The Christmas to New Year's period is very popular at our resort. Palm Springs has the most reliable nude sunbathing weather in the US at this time of the year. Traditionally highs are in the low 70's F and 100% sunny. And since official temperatures are taken in the shade, it's always another 5-8 degrees warmer in the sunshine. And Palm Springs is the sunniest city in the US!

Wednesday December 31st - New Year's Eve, or as we like to call it Nude Year's Eve. And we have the best party. Our Nude Year's Eve party was even written up in a British publication a few years ago. We have a 5 course sit down dinner of steak and lobster, midnight desert buffet and much, much, much more. This is the only party of the year that we charge for as we spend so much money making sure every one rings in the New Year just right. We target this party to be a break even event, so we only charge $250 per couple. And you get only the best, prime steak and Canadian lobster tail, all you can eat. We end up turning away lots of guests for this party and we are already about 70% booked, so don't wait too long before calling us at 1-800-786-6938.

Friday January 2nd to 12th - The Palm Springs International Film Festival is in town. This is one of the most famous and glamourous film festivals in the world. And what's so cool is regular people are allowed to see the movies and attend the events. Guests of ours always see famous celebrities. You can relax naked poolside at Terra Cotta Inn during the day and see interesting movies at night.

Saturday January 10th - Our 20th annual Casino Night party. We have blackjack, roulette, and craps. Everyone gets $10,000 of play money. At the end of the evening, we have a raffle and give away over $800 in prizes. You can't be naked while gambling in Vegas, so we bring Las Vegas to Palm Springs. Everyone says this is our most fun party of the year.

Friday Jan 23rd to Sunday January 25th Celebrate spouses weekend at Terra Cotta Inn. National Spouses day is January 26th. This romantic holiday was created to remind everyone to take some time out of your busy lives and spend it with your spouse (or boyfriend/girlfriend if your not married). We always have a fun romantic event on the Saturday afternoon and roses and more for all the ladies. As everyone says, Terra Cotta Inn is the most romantic nude sunbathing resort in the US.
